Develop <strong>an</strong>d implement Community Partnerships for the Protection <strong>of</strong> Children (CPPC) in<br />

representative counties.<br />

Core strategies developed by CPPC <strong>an</strong>d Annie Casey, are:<br />

1). An individualized course <strong>of</strong> action for each child <strong>an</strong>d family identified by community members as being at<br />

subst<strong>an</strong>tial risk <strong>of</strong> child abuse <strong>an</strong>d neglect.<br />

2). A network <strong>of</strong> neighborhood <strong>an</strong>d community supports.<br />

3). New policies, practices, roles <strong>an</strong>d responsibilities within the public CPS agency.<br />

4). A collaborative decision-making capacity to guide <strong>an</strong>d sustain the partnership.<br />

Steps for fulfilling these strategies continue <strong>an</strong>d include:<br />
