A pilot is being conducted in Dekalb with the DFCS <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>an</strong>d the Juvenile Court to determine if additional training is needed.<br />

8 th Quarter Report: Achieved. Per ACF 7 th quarter request to provide training documentation. During the First Placement Best<br />

Placement technical assist<strong>an</strong>ce training, trainees were taught how to access the m<strong>an</strong>y services provided under Wrap-Around.<br />

Additionally, there is in the new worker training curriculum, the Child <strong>an</strong>d Family Comprehensive Assessment (First Placement Best<br />

Placement) training component, which thoroughly discusses how to use <strong>an</strong>d access Wrap Around services.<br />

The cumulative QCR for the 10/2003 – 09/2004 rated the perm<strong>an</strong>ency indicator a strength in 71.43% <strong>of</strong> the applicable cases. In<br />

86.67% <strong>of</strong> the cases reviewed, the case pl<strong>an</strong> goal accurately identified the needs <strong>of</strong> the child. Most agencies reported the court <strong>an</strong>d the<br />

agency identified the same needs, strengths <strong>an</strong>d goals <strong>an</strong>d felt the services provided were consistent with the agreed upon case pl<strong>an</strong>s.<br />

Further, the “needs <strong>an</strong>d services” indicator was applied to 106 cases in the QCR. Ninety-nine <strong>of</strong> the cases received a First Placement<br />

Best Placement Child <strong>an</strong>d Family Comprehensive Assessment <strong>an</strong>d Wrap Around services. Other services were identified <strong>an</strong>d<br />

provided to address the needs in the case pl<strong>an</strong>.<br />
