Error – Invalid or meets criteria for invalidation (closed/active cases)<br />
The “R” code is no longer applicable. This code should not be used for any<br />
program. Any “R” codes currently in the system should be changed to “U” as they<br />
are located.<br />
Claim Type Codes used by OPIC:<br />
S Suspected Fraud (used until the debtor is notified and the investigation<br />
is completed)<br />
A Waiver <strong>of</strong> Disqualification Hearing (WDH)<br />
B Reserved for future use by OPIC<br />
D Disqualification Hearing Decision (ADH)<br />
F* Criminal Prosecution (Indictment) – Pay to Court (Probation Office)<br />
L Consent Agreement – Pay to County<br />
P Reserved for future use by OPIC<br />
Z Disaster Fraud<br />
Reason codes required on FS notifications to the AU and used as required by case<br />

Benefit errors coded with the same claim type and identified at the same time are<br />
processed together into one claim. The benefit errors do not have to be in consecutive<br />
months. SUCCESS will add the overpayments <strong>of</strong> the same claim type together and<br />
subtract any pending underpayments to determine one claim balance.<br />
* After the probation period ends, claim type must be changed from F to L to allow for grant<br />
reduction and other payments. Notify the Claims / Collections Unit <strong>of</strong> change in claim type.<br />
