foot and ankle surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />
level, depending on experience. <strong>The</strong> Orthopedic Faculty<br />
includes sixteen board-certified orthopedists and five PA’s. <strong>The</strong><br />
OU Medical Center is a state <strong>of</strong> the art facility in a thriving<br />

Minimum requirements include: Doctoral degree (M.D.),<br />
ABOS certification/eligibility, orthopedic foot and ankle surgery<br />

Upper Extremity/ Hand Orthopedic Surgeon<br />
<strong>The</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Surgery</strong>/Orthopedics at the V.A. Boston<br />

actively seeking an academic upper extremity/hand surgeon at<br />
the Assistant/Associate Pr<strong>of</strong>essor level.<br />
Candidates should have an outstanding clinical record, minimally<br />
invasive and reconstructive experience and capable <strong>of</strong> treating<br />
the full spectrum <strong>of</strong> upper extremity, shoulder and hand diseases.<br />

An ideal candidate will have experience in independent basic<br />
science research with an emphasis on molecular biology and<br />
with a strong track record in extramural funding. <strong>The</strong> candidate<br />
must have a strong desire to collaborate and teach in the areas<br />
<strong>of</strong> Orthopaedics and Molecular Biology. Successful applicants<br />

ORGANIZATION AND FACILITIES<br />
<strong>The</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Orthopaedic <strong>Surgery</strong> at the UNTHSC and the<br />
BJRC is a multidisciplinary group <strong>of</strong> orthopaedic and podiatric<br />
surgeons, as well as non-operative physicians and researchers,<br />
who are involved in patient care, education and research. Our staff<br />
participates in the education <strong>of</strong> medical students, orthopaedic<br />
and podiatric surgical residents and graduate students.<br />
<strong>The</strong> BJRC was established by the Department <strong>of</strong> Orthopaedic<br />
<strong>Surgery</strong> at UNTHSC in 2008. It houses state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art equipment<br />
for experimental and computational studies in the areas <strong>of</strong> tissue<br />
mechanics, multi-scale modeling and biomaterial evaluation.<br />
Our focus is to provide a collaborative environment to elucidate<br />
the pathophysiology underlying musculoskeletal disease.<br />
