Strive to Achieve Principal‟s Welcome Welcome to the Ascot School Community. We hope your time here is challenging and rewarding for you and your children. Ascot State School believes in developing the potential of each individual child. We aim to promote and develop that capacity within an environment of care and support and through a range of opportunities within the broad education program. My staff and I are committed to the vision of the Department of Education and Training - clever, skilled and creative Queensland. We are proud to be part of a strong public education system, which believes the purpose of education is to meet the needs of different students for high levels of educational attainment. At Ascot State School we take pride in the tradition and reputation of the school for pursuing the highest standards of behaviour of the students and in the academic program, the sporting program and the music program. Students are proud to wear their school uniform which is well recognised in the community and provides children with a sense of belonging. Our school motto Strive to Achieve plays an important part in fostering the wellbeing and personal development of each student. As we strive to achieve our potential in a supportive school environment we at Ascot value respect, honesty, fairness, self esteem and excellence. Our current key strategic objectives at Ascot are to provide: a challenging and relevant curriculum a supportive school environment the professional development and learning for staff integration of information communication and technology for learning facilities improvement Dimensions of Learning as our approach to teaching and learning effective partnerships.
