15 <strong>Feb</strong>ruary from 9:00am - 10.30am approximately. It is the one and only whole group meeting.<br />

WELCOME GROUP<br />
Have you recently enrolled your child at our school? Have you recently moved into the local area?<br />
Are you interested in meeting other school parents and families? You may be interested in joining<br />
our school‟s Welcome Group.<br />
Our Welcome Group has been set up primarily as an opportunity for new parents to our school to<br />
meet other school families, although anyone who is interested in making new friends is welcome to<br />
attend; everyone is welcome!<br />
Our Welcome Group meets from 9:15-11.00am every Thursday during school term time at Carnivale<br />
Café, 31 Alexandra Road, <strong>Ascot</strong> (opposite Oriel Park and near Sirianni‟s IGA supermarket). Our<br />
coffee catch ups are a great opportunity to chat to other parents and to share information about<br />
local family services (medical, kinder and child care) and children‟s activities (music, sport, etc.).<br />
We will have special guests joining us at our Welcome Group coffee catch ups over the next few<br />
weeks:<br />
Thursday 28 <strong>Feb</strong>ruary – Leanne Buckle, our school Parent Liaison Co-ordinator, will join us to<br />
meet new parents and to explain her role and how she can help you out.<br />
Thursday 7 March – Jane Sedgman, our school Principal, will join us to meet new parents and<br />
to answer any questions that you may have.<br />

FROM FRIENDS OF MUSIC<br />
The first Friends of Music meeting for this year will be on Monday 11 <strong>Feb</strong>ruary at 7.30pm in the<br />
school Instrumental Room (formerly known as the Parent Room.) All welcome.<br />
Friends of Music is a school P&C Sub-Committee which organises student discos, movie nights and<br />
concerts to raise funds for the school.<br />
If you are interested in joining the Committee, or if you can help at any of the events, we would love<br />
to see you on Monday night.<br />
