You really don’t want another job. He started to teach people the truth. They really didn’t want a job they wanted a good income. They had never really thought about the truth very much. Most people were taught to go to school, find a good job, save their money, buy a home and start raising a family. It’s not a terrible plan but it’s also the plan to keep the average person a member of the working poor the rest of their unpleasant life.
