East, Grand Rapids, Duluth
Denfeld, Duluth Central,
Hibbing, Cloquet and Virginia.
A year later Thief River Falls,
Duluth East, Duluth Denfeld,
Duluth Central, Grand Rapids,
Hibbing and Cloquet were
grouped in the North Country
Conference.
Shrinking conference membership
and the travel prompted
Thief River Falls to make a
change and the Prowlers were
accepted into the Heart O’
Lakes Conference for the 2009
season.
Thief River Falls and Fergus
Falls used to be football rivals in
the old Northwest Athletic
Conference, but they haven’t
met on the gridiron since 2000.
Fergus Falls is currently a
member of the Central Lakes
Conference.
