Dear Ladies<br />
I<br />
t is an honour as well as a humbling experience <strong>to</strong> be at the helm of<br />
CGWWA. I feel privileged <strong>to</strong> reach out <strong>to</strong> each Tatrakshika through this<br />
edition of “Urmi”.<br />
At the outset I would like <strong>to</strong> thank all my predecessors whose vision <strong>and</strong><br />
foresight have shaped CGWWA in<strong>to</strong> what it is <strong>to</strong>day, a dynamic, vibrant <strong>and</strong><br />
growing organization.<br />
CGWWA has emerged as a forum for social interaction where women can<br />
express their <strong>view</strong>s <strong>and</strong> ideas freely <strong>and</strong> nurture their abilities for empowerment.<br />
I convey my very warm felicitations <strong>to</strong> the entire CGWWA fraternity.<br />
My compliments <strong>to</strong> our edi<strong>to</strong>rial team for their tireless efforts in bringing out<br />
“Urmi” which provides an excellent outlet <strong>to</strong> express the thoughts, ideas, literary<br />
talent of our ladies <strong>and</strong> their families.<br />
<strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> is a growing organization with ever increasing responsibilities.<br />
We Tatrakshikas need <strong>to</strong> keep pace with this growth <strong>and</strong> exp<strong>and</strong> our activities.<br />
I am confident that with the unstinted support of every Tatrakshika we will meet<br />
all the challenges in keeping with the changing social needs.<br />
