CGWWA (ANDAMAN & NICOBAR)<br />

In the beginning of academic year 2012, stationery items were distributed <strong>to</strong> the children of maid<br />

servants. On the occasion of Raksha B<strong>and</strong>han, rakhis were tied <strong>and</strong> sweets were distributed amongst<br />

the children of ‘Sevaniketan’ at Port Blair. Distribution of ration <strong>to</strong> the needy was also conducted at<br />

remote locations in Hut Bay.<br />

CGWWA (NORTH EAST)<br />

Various utility items were distributed <strong>to</strong> the in-mates of G<strong>and</strong>hi Ashram by CGWWA ladies of<br />

Haldia. The Regional President, Tatrakshika visited Mother Teresa’s Home at Kolkata <strong>and</strong> a generous<br />

donation in the form of shirts <strong>and</strong> blankets were distributed <strong>to</strong> the inmates. A visit <strong>to</strong> the Nivedita<br />

Anantha Ashram <strong>and</strong> donation of clothes <strong>and</strong> other utility items <strong>to</strong> children were made along with<br />

the medical team of DHQ-7. CGWWA ladies also distributed blankets <strong>to</strong> civilian staff <strong>and</strong> casual<br />

labourers employed at CGOM, Haldia. President Tatrakshika (NE) alongwith members of CGWWA<br />

(NE) visited Ramakrishna Mission Blind School at Haldia.<br />

A visit <strong>to</strong> Jagruti School for the specially abled children was organised at Paradip wherein CGWWA<br />

members distributed stationery items <strong>and</strong> study material.<br />

Members of Tatrakshika (NE) visited ‘Nirmal Hriday’ at Kalighat, Kolkata <strong>and</strong> donated Rations,<br />

Clothes <strong>and</strong> <strong>to</strong>iletry items <strong>to</strong> the severely ill old citizens in order <strong>to</strong> extend a helping h<strong>and</strong> <strong>to</strong> these<br />

people.<br />

CGWWA (NORTH WEST)<br />

Tatrakshika ladies visited ‘Pragji Bapa Ashram’ of Porb<strong>and</strong>ar <strong>and</strong> donated two gas s<strong>to</strong>ves, dry<br />

rations <strong>and</strong> other eatables.<br />

Tatrakshika, Okha helped ‘Prerana Seva Kendra’ an NGO at Bhimrana for building a school for<br />

training the differently-abled children. Tatarakshika, Mundra distributed blankets <strong>to</strong> helpers of Samudra<br />

Township at Mundra .<br />

As part of CG week celebration, CGWWA members of Jakhau visited the Orphanage at St.<br />

Xavier high school, Naliya <strong>and</strong> interacted with the differently-abled children, their parents <strong>and</strong> teachers.<br />

They extended a helping h<strong>and</strong> by distributing ration <strong>and</strong> other commodities.<br />
