The quarterly news letters, S<strong>and</strong>esh were published regularly. S<strong>and</strong>esh reflected all activities<br />
conducted during each quarter by various arms of CGWWA.<br />
CGWWA (WEST)<br />
Theme based Tatrakshika S<strong>and</strong>esh on ‘Environment’, ‘Internet, Boon or Curse’ <strong>and</strong> ‘Inculcating<br />
Good Habits in the Next Generation’ were successfully published in each quarter. The ‘S<strong>and</strong>esh’<br />
consisted of compiled activity report of the Western Region <strong>and</strong> articles contributed by CG fraternity<br />
as well.<br />
As an encouragement <strong>to</strong> maximise contribution of original articles according <strong>to</strong> the theme of the<br />
forthcoming Urmi, an essay competition was held on the <strong>to</strong>pics, ‘Nari- kal aaj aur kal’, ‘Shoonya se<br />
shikhar tak ka safar’, ‘A walk <strong>to</strong>wards self reliance - <strong>and</strong> experience’ & ‘Explore, Evolve <strong>and</strong> Excel’.<br />
CGWWA (EAST)<br />
Creative writing competition, Communicative science workshop, <strong>and</strong> ‘Art & Craft’ workshop was<br />
organised for children. Quarterly newsletters were released <strong>and</strong> a number of articles <strong>and</strong> cover<br />
pages have been forwarded for Urmi.<br />
CGWWA (ANDAMAN & NICOBAR)<br />
The Sanchar team has been working devotedly <strong>and</strong> tirelessly, throughout the year <strong>to</strong> bring the<br />
quarterly editions which gives an account of general CGWWA activities of the A&N Region.<br />
CGWWA (NORTH EAST)<br />
Sanchar team over<strong>view</strong> every aspect of Sanchar in terms of editing, compiling <strong>and</strong> drafting of<br />
newsletters, articles <strong>and</strong> reports for Tatrakshika S<strong>and</strong>esh.<br />
CGWWA (NORTH WEST)<br />
A theme-based Tatrakshika S<strong>and</strong>esh (NW) is published in Oc<strong>to</strong>ber, December <strong>and</strong> April by the<br />
edi<strong>to</strong>rial team.<br />
SNEHA (Outreach)<br />
Charity begins at home. Our charity wing Sneha reaches out <strong>to</strong> the society outside<br />
the <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> community <strong>and</strong> provides solace <strong>to</strong> the less privileged, poor <strong>and</strong> needy<br />
ones.<br />
CGWWA (HEADQUARTERS)<br />
CGWWA extended a helping h<strong>and</strong> <strong>to</strong> the patients <strong>and</strong> their attendants at AIIMS, New Delhi by<br />
distributing food <strong>and</strong> necessary items. Some international dailies appreciated the concern of CGWWA<br />
<strong>to</strong>wards the needy personnel. Mil<strong>to</strong>n water bottles were distributed <strong>to</strong> the casual labourers of Welfare<br />
