(b) --do-- 5 Manufacturing:- 5.1 The body and sleeves shall be knitted from yarn worsted 55 tex/2(2/16) in two 2x1.5 rib knit. The cuffs and bottom ribs shall be knitted from two ply and body and a sleeves from 2 ply yarn worsted 55 /tex-2 to achieve the desired rib effect, The fabric shall be uniform in shade appearance and free from knitting flaws. The cuffs and bottom ribs shall be compact in texture and shall contain at least four strengthening round. 5.2 The jersey shall be fabricated to the required size and dimension as given in Appendix B. The shape and design of the jersey shall be as shown in plates attached to this specification. The total rib cuff shall be 17cm in length and shall be jointed on upper side and covered with seam covering or alternatively joining shall be done by linking. 5.3 The neck opening shall be V shape and shall be made by a welt 2x2 with tibular base linked with 2x1.5 rib body material . The width of V shall be 3 cm and shall be secured with linking. 5.4 The jersey shall be provided with 2 shoulder straps. The seam of the shoulder (inside top portion) shall be made , with overlock stitching and finally with seam covering machine throughout the shoulder seam. The overlock stitching of the shoulder shall be completely covered with reinforcement material for strengthening The shoulder seam and arm pits shall be strengthened with tape cotton black/cloth polyester/cotton/viscose/gabardine/ black. Fastener loop and hook tape synthetic shall be used at jointer top of shoulder strips and shoulders for fastening . Size of the fasteners shall be 2.5x3 as perIS:8125 Type 2. 5.5 The shoulder and sleeves at elbow shall be reinforced with cloth polyester/cotton/viscose/gabardine black as shown in the plates. The shoulder reinforcement shall be extended on front and equally to a depth of 11cmand shall be in one place without seam or joint on the shoulder top . One side of each shoulder reinforcement piece shall be stitched along with the joint of body and sleeves. 5.6. Stitching of sleeve reinforcement , shoulderre enforcement shoulder straps and pen pocket shall be done with lock stitching with Thread sewing apon polyester 3 ply. 5.7. The body and sleeves shall be sewed with cup seaming of two thread of woolen and two threads of spun polyester and further strengthened with four threads overlooking .The stitching tension shall be even throughout, with all loose ends fastened and trimmed off. The number of stitches per cm shall not be less than 4 at any place. 5.8. The seam and joints shall be withstand stretching in all direction to the full extent of the knitted fabric without Complianc e to specificatio n – whether Yes /No In case of noncompliance, deviation from specification to be specified in unambiguous terms
