No. (i) Specification reference (a) IS: 175:1989 (Variety No. V) Relevant Para No. Item Details SHEET BARRACK(BED SHEET) WHITE 240X135CMS (b) --do-- 4.2 (ii) 4.1/3.1 Fabric : Bedsheet shall be made from 48 percent polyester and 52 percent cotton blend. Fibre blend shall be intimately mixed. Sewing Thread : Cotton sewing thread of 60s/3 cotton count (100 dtex X3) conforming IS 1720:1978 shall be used. In case of dyed 4.3 sheets, the thread shall be of a similar shade. Hems : Each transverse end of sheet shall have a 2 cms hem. Minimum of o.5 cm of the raw edge shall be returned in. Side Edges : The sheets shall have selvedge on the two sides. Sewing : The sewing shall be of even tension and the loose ends shall be finished securely and neatly. The number of stitches shall not be less than 4 per cm. Dimension : The finished dimensions of bedsheet shall be 240 X 135 cms. Subject to a tolerance of (+/-) 1 cm and (+/-) 2 cm on width and length respectively. TOWEL ORDINARY WHITE (112 X 61 CMS) (c) IS 171 : 1985 4.1 Yarn : The cotton yarn used in the manufacture of towel shall conformate the requirement specified in IS 171 : 1985.
