Falls Church Overview
Falls Church is an independent City in Virginia with
a long and rich history that dates back to the late
1600’s when it was an early colonial settlement. The

amenity and business centers. Falls Church is ideally
situated between Fairfax and Arlington Counties, just 5
miles from the Washington D.C. line. Further, the City
sits in the center of the bustling Route 7 employment
and retail corridor that includes Seven Corners, Baileys
Crossroads, and Tysons Corner with over 5 million
square feet of retail. In a 2006 poll of Falls Church
residents, 34% sited location and convenience as the
best aspect of living in the City, while 19% cited its
size and small town charm. Supported by Washington
D.C.’s consistently stable economy, the City’s local
economy remains strong with a core of national and
international high-tech firms, including Computer
Sciences Corporation and General Dynamics.
