The Five Sagel Brothers 

”A man had five sons who were called Heinz- 

Otto, Thomas, Claus, Peter and Martin. When 

the time came for him to retire, he handed 

over the same share of his property to each 

of them, and he said: Increase together what I 

gave you and take care that no one gets more 

than the other. Hereupon, each of the sons 

used his talents in a way that soon the property 

was increased, and the father took pleasure 

in the achievements of his sons.” 

This could roughly be the short version of the Vauth-Sagel story. The tone resembling somewhat the Old Testament was inspired by the nearly 

biblical number of five brothers. By the way, literature knows one story or other about five brothers, as, however, in the two cases known to me, the 

five brothers are not really pictured in a positive way, we should not delve deeper into this subject. Contrary to the opinion of many management 

consultants, the Sagel brothers Heinz-Otto, Thomas, Claus, Peter and Martin have proven so far that it can work to have so many people operating 

successfully in one enterprise. Yet, it did not happen completely the way you could think by the introductory story, that all of them managed the business 

at the same time with the same competences; and also Heinrich Sagel did not retire completely. Yet, at an early stage, about nine years ago, 

he handed over the management to his three sons Heinz-Otto, Thomas and Claus and thus started the generational change. Meanwhile, Peter and 

Martin have managing functions in the enterprise. All of them hold a share of 20 % in the company. As the group was divided into the companies 

Vauth-Sagel Einrichtungssysteme, Vauth-Sagel Systemtechnik, Westo Kunststofftechnik and Vauth-Sagel Logistik during the restructuring in 2003, 

and as the company Mauser Einrichtungssysteme was added in 2004, there were enough possibilities for the brothers to sometimes keep out of 

each other’s way.

Systemtechnik has been constantly perfecting the wire processing since the founding of the company in 1962.

Cleaning information for Vauth-Sagel products 

During assembly and usage of Vauth-Sagel products, stains and other kinds of dirt may appear on its surfaces. When cleaning, pelase make 

sure to treat the protective areas and materials with care. Listed below shows how indications shall be followed accordingly in order to guarantee 

proper treatment of the purchased goods. Please note that the use of abrasive chemicals may result in surface damage. 

-Use commercial cleaner for stainless steel (usually obtainable as spray). Please follow the product details on the canister before applying. 

-Rub with a soft, damp cloth. In case the surface is wet, please use dry cloth. 

-Wipe small stains and dirt with solvent soap (etched with water) and then wipe away small water drops with dry cloth. 

Above circumstances the following shall not be used: 

-Strong alkaline - or strong acid substances 

-Chlorine cleaners 

-Micro fibers might harm surfaces in event of scrubbing. 

-Acetone solvents, nitro thinners, sal ammoniac or solvents whose nomenclature contains terms beginning with TriKetra.

The Power Move® has been developed to support the opening of 

Vauth-Sagel tall cabinet pull-outs like the Front Pull Out Larder Unit and the Rotary Pull 

Out Larder Unit and has the following features: 

•Easy opening of the tall cabinet thanks to electromotive support 

•Drive control dependent on load 

•Triggering of the opening impulse by lightly pulling or pressing the cabinet front 

•Front clearance can be set on the drive 

•Minimisation of noise transmitted to the corpus thanks to rubber dampers 

•Interruption of the slide-out movement in the event of a blockage
