TOWING
- Move the steering lock/contact-starter
key of the towed vehicle to the position
in which the steering wheel is unlocked
(unless the vehicle is being towed with
its wheels hoisted clear of the road; also
see below).
- Always use a towing bar. Departure from
this rule is only allowed in emergency
situations; in that case the maximum
permissible towing speed in 40 km/h.
- To prevent possible damage to the
gearbox, the propeller shaft should be
disconnected at the differential.
- To prevent possible damage to the
chassis, the angle at which the vehicle
is towed may not exceed 30° in relation
to the road surface.
- Release the parking brake if the air reservoir
pressure is insufficient (see also
“Releasing the parking brake”).
If the differential is damaged:
- Hoist the vehicle at the rear end and
engage the steering wheel lock.
Tow-starts
It is not possible to start the engine of a
vehicle equipped with an automatic
gearbox by using the tow-start method.
REPLACING BULBS
- Before attempting to replace any bulbs
on the vehicle, refer to the chassis builder’s
instructions (if supplied). This
applies to the interior and exterior lights
of the vehicle as well as to adjustment
of the headlights.
- When fitting a new bulb, make sure that
the ridges on the bulb holder fit in the
recesses in the reflector.
- Never touch the glass of a halogen bulb
with your bare fingers.

Tachograph
- Rotate lamp holder (1) a quarter turn,
remove, and replace the bulb.
