BLEEDING THE FUEL SYSTEM
Diesel fuel is combustible
and may not be exposed to
open fire or heat sources
such as a hot engine. Catch
leaking fuel in a suitable can.
1. Open the bleed screw (3) on the filter
body.
2. Pump fuel out of the bleed screw with
the manual pump (4) until no more air
bubbles are visible in the fuel.
3. Close the bleed screw.
RELEASING THE PARKING BRAKE
a. With compressed air
1. Place chocks behind and in front of the
wheels.
2. Move the parking brake lever forwards.
3. The spring brake actuators can be
released by connecting a tyre inflating
hose to the tyre inflating connection.
4. If necessary, air can be obtained from
one of the tyres.
5. Note the correct line pressure when
doing this (max. 10 bar).
b. Mechanically
1. Place chocks behind and in front of the
wheels.
2. Use a ring spanner to turn the bolt counter-clockwise
as far as the stop.
3. Repeat this procedure for the other
spring brake actuators.
Important!
Restore the parking brake to its normal
operating condition as soon as possible by
turning the bolts clockwise and tightening
to a torque of 40-50 Nm.
