Coolant is a harmful liquid.
In order to avoid poisoning,
avoid skin contact.
In order to avoid damage
when pouring cold liquid into
a hot engine, let the engine
run and pour slowly.
1. Set the heater’s temperature turning
knob to “warm”.
2. Remove the filler cap (4) from the
expansion tank.
3. Let the engine run for a few minutes.
4. Switch off the engine and check the
coolant level.
5. The coolant level should be between the
MAX and MIN marks. Top-up with
coolant if necessary.
Filling procedure cooling system
1. Close all heater valves and open the filler
cap on the expansion tank.
2. Fill the expansion tank to the maximum
level (engine not running).
3. Close the filler cap on expansion tank.
4. Start the engine and allow it to idle for
several minutes.
5. Open the filler cap on the expansion tank
and top up the expansion tank to the
maximum level.
6. Gradually open the heater’s supply valve
and simultaneously top-up the
expansion tank to the maximum level.
7. Open the heater breathers for a few
seconds and top up the expansion tank
to the maximum level. Repeat this step
until no more air is released from the
breather.
8. Open the return valve of the heater and
wait until no air is coming up through
the expansion tank.
9. Operate the engine at 1500 rpm until
no air comes up through the expansion
tank. Top up the expansion tank to the
max.level.
10. Make a test drive to check for leakage.
TYRES AND RIMS
- Check the tyres for wear, any foreign
matter embedded in the tread and other
damage.
- Remove any foreign matter from the
tread and from between twin tyres.
- Check the wheel attachment.
- Check the tyre pressure (do not forget
the spare). Checking and adjusting the
pressure must be done when the tyres
are cold.
- Do not fit tyres of different sizes
otherwise the ABS system will not work
correctly. The difference in the depth of
tread must also not be greater than 7,5%
(also see Replacing Tyres).
