DRIVING<br />
CONTACT SWITCH/STARTER SWITCH/<br />
STEERING LOCK<br />
Never remove the key from<br />
the contact while driving. The<br />
steering gear may be<br />
blocked.<br />
Position St: rest position<br />
The key can be removed. When the key is<br />
taken out, the steering wheel is locked.<br />
Position M: contact on<br />
The electrical equipment can be switched<br />
on.<br />
Position D: starting position<br />
When the key is released it automatically<br />
springs back to position M.<br />
Note:<br />
If the battery voltage is too low then the key<br />
cannot removed from the ignition.<br />
The key can be turned from the St position<br />
to the M position but can then not be turned<br />
any further or back again.<br />
For vehicles without a contact key, the contact<br />
may be switched on using the master<br />
switch. The engine can be started using the<br />
starting switch.<br />
