IDENTITY CARD Each vehicle has its own identity card which can be used to identify the exact component parts used in the construction of the vehicle. Any subsequent modifications to the vehicle should therefore be recorded on the identity card. The modifications should also be reported to DAF BUS INTERNATIONAL. It is important to have the identity card available when calling ITS for assistance, but also for finding the correct part numbers in case of repairs. VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION PLATE The vehicle identification plate is fitted in the first doorway by the body builder. This identification plate is illustrated on the next page together with an explanation of the vehicle identification number as required by law in all member states of the E.E.C. as of October, 1982. 12 IDENTIFICATION
