Support Services
The SACVB’s award-winning Services
Division works with the Sales Division to
create a seamless transition from sales to
service. Service assistance includes the
following:
3 Computerized housing and
registration assistance;
3 Coordination of site and
planning meetings;
3 Welcome Packages;
3 Community awareness of
groups meeting in San Antonio;
3 Service leads (request for proposal
to area suppliers);
3 Welcome signage at airport;
3 Marketing support through customized
microsites, print and electronic
attendance builders;
3 PR support through digital images,
B-roll, destination copy; and
3 Liaison for contacts with city, county
and state officials.
On the Horizon
In May 2009, the River Walk will nearly
double in length from two to four miles.
The extension will connect the convention
center and thousands of hotel rooms
to even more attractions and venues as
stone walkways, water features, foliage,
public art, pocket parks and more. When
complete in 2014, the entire $279 million
project will lengthen the River Walk to 13
miles, and include a southern reach to the
Spanish colonial missions.
