Exhibit Facilities
Atlantic City Convention Center: 500,000
sf of contiguous exhibit space, 45 meeting
rooms from 700 sf to 12,900 sf, and ample
pre-function space. Also, a variety of
conference and convention facilities in 11
casinos as well as several non-casino hotels.
Hotel Inventory
More than 20,000 rooms within five miles;
3,200 new first-class rooms opened in
2008.
The Sheraton Atlantic City Convention
Center Hotel with 502 guest rooms is
attached to the convention center by a
covered pedestrian walkway.
Taxes
3 Hotel/motel tax: 13%, plus 1% hotel
occupancy fee.
3 Sales tax: 7% food and non-alcoholic
beverages, 10% alcoholic beverages
consumed on premises.

On the Horizon
Getting to Atlantic City is becoming easier
all the time. Spirit Airlines begins service
between Boston and the Atlantic City
International Airport in Spring of 2009, and
the ACES weekend train service now runs
between New York City’s Penn Station and
the Atlantic City Rail Terminal, with a stop
in Newark. In 2008, Atlantic City saw its
room inventory increase by 3,200 first-class
rooms, with the opening of the Chairman
Tower at Trump Taj Mahal, The Waterfront
Tower at Harrah’s, The Water Club at
Borgata, The Chelsea boutique hotel and
a Courtyard by Marriott. Several notable
restaurants opened in 2008, as well, such
as Izakaya at The Borgata, McCormick &
Schmick at Harrah’s, and branches of New
York’s famous Il Mulino at Trump Taj Mahal
and Patsy’s at the Atlantic City Hilton. Still to
come in 2009: a mid-year opening of One
Atlantic, a special event venue atop The Pier
Shops at Caesars, which will accommodate
corporate and group events of any kind or
style.
