Coupled Qubit Bringup<br />

The exact bringup sequence for running multiple qubits can vary greatly depending<br />

on the coupling scheme. Nevertheless, there are several concerns that<br />

apply to all coupling schemes. These will be examined first.<br />

9.1 Controlling Multiple Qubits<br />

9.1.1 Control Synchronization<br />

Most multi-qubit sequences require the relative timing <strong>of</strong> operations on different<br />

qubits to be tightly controlled. To achieve this, the control hardware needs<br />

to provide a way to synchronize the control channels on the different qubits with<br />

respect to each other. For the purposes <strong>of</strong> scaling to a large number <strong>of</strong> qubits, it<br />
