<strong>and</strong> would not accurately describe what was happening. Roughly speaking, we<br />

would be in a domain of quantum gravity where, as with a Schwarzschild black<br />

hole, our now familiar noti<strong>on</strong>s of space <strong>and</strong> time may completely fall apart. It<br />

may or may not make sense to even ask what came ‘before.’ Isn’t that a good<br />

place to end our story?
