OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE – <strong>Connection</strong> <strong>Guidelines</strong> for High<br />
Voltage <strong>Connection</strong>s and Embedded Generators<br />
<strong>CEOP8079</strong><br />
The key objective of this stage is to finalise the technical and commercial arrangements<br />
applicable to the connection, including, if necessary, the negotiation of performance<br />
standards pursuant to clause 5.3.4A of the NER.<br />
This stage is finalised when the <strong>Connection</strong> Applicant accepts <strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Energy</strong>‟s offer to<br />
connect.<br />
8.2 Information to be provided with <strong>Connection</strong> Application<br />
The <strong>Connection</strong> Applicant must include the following information in a connection application:<br />
Proposed negotiated performance standards pursuant to clause 5.3.4A of the NER<br />
Detailed system planning data as detailed in Schedule 5.5 of the NER<br />
Preferred connection date<br />
Reliability requirements (N, N-1)<br />
Preferred connection location and arrangement<br />
Project status<br />
Company information<br />
The power transfer requirements<br />
Schedule of connection equipment<br />
The application fee<br />
Details of the land tenure for the electricity works including land owner agreements,<br />
the consultation processes and easement requirements or land acquisitions that<br />
remain outstanding; and (This information must be provided, easements should be<br />
registered and any decision to connect without is at the absolute discretion of<br />
<strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Energy</strong>).<br />
Other relevant information that may be required by <strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> includes but is not<br />
limited to:<br />
A detailed construction program<br />
Details of assets to be transferred to <strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Energy</strong><br />
Full copy of all approvals required by environmental laws for the construction and<br />
operation of the assets and all documents that supported the application for such<br />
approvals and compliance with them<br />
The requirements for route corridor, centreline, access (particularly permanent access)<br />
to the electricity works, and/or details of land required for infrastructure, survey and<br />
design options analysis<br />
If requested, draft route/ corridor, centreline, access and land requirements are best<br />
initially obtained by GPS survey but after investigation must be fixed by formal<br />
registered survey to enable the prompt registration of appropriate plans for the<br />
acquisition of land or grant of easements<br />
Land owner agreements, consultation processes and easement requirements or land<br />
acquisitions by agreement<br />
All relevant <strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> design specifications<br />
Approved materials list, approved equipment may if available be purchased from<br />
<strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> or by negotiation with the manufacturer.<br />
