Founded in 1961, the Society of Toxicology (SOT) includes
more than 6,700 members from nearly 60 countries worldwide.
SOT members are drawn from academic institutions, industry,
and government service, among others, and are active in a
myriad of related fields and professions. All members partner
with SOT in advancing science to enhance human, animal, and
environmental health. You may apply to join the SOT at the
following membership levels:
Student—you must be enrolled in a graduate degree
program related to toxicology.
Postdoctoral Fellow—you must hold a Ph.D. or other
doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., D.V.M.) with an interest in
toxicology and be under the direction of a research mentor.
Associate—you must be engaged in continuing
professional scientific activities in toxicology.
Full—you must demonstrate a continuing professional
interest in toxicology and have conducted and published
original research and/or are generally recognized as expert
in some phase of toxicology.
