Creating a Safer and Healthier World<br />
by Advancing the Science of Toxicology<br />
Founded in 1961, the Society of Toxicology (SOT) includes<br />
more than 6,700 members from nearly 60 countries worldwide.<br />
SOT members are drawn from academic institutions, industry,<br />
and government service, among others, and are active in a<br />
myriad of related fields and professions. All members partner<br />
with SOT in advancing science to enhance human, animal, and<br />
environmental health. You may apply to join the SOT at the<br />
following membership levels:<br />
Student—you must be enrolled in a graduate degree<br />
program related to toxicology.<br />
Postdoctoral Fellow—you must hold a Ph.D. or other<br />
doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., D.V.M.) with an interest in<br />
toxicology and be under the direction of a research mentor.<br />
Associate—you must be engaged in continuing<br />
professional scientific activities in toxicology.<br />
Full—you must demonstrate a continuing professional<br />
interest in toxicology and have conducted and published<br />
original research and/or are generally recognized as expert<br />
in some phase of toxicology.<br />
