Dear Colleagues,
We have great pleasure in inviting you to participate at the International Conference
on Toxicology, Environmental And Occupational Health, scheduled to be held in the city of
Lucknow, India on November 14-17, 2005. The Conference is jointly organized by the Society
of Toxicology (STOX), India and Industrial Toxicology Research Centre (a constituent
Laboratory of CSIR, India), Lucknow.
TheAnnual Meeting of Society of Toxicology (STOX), India, is the largest gathering of
toxicologists and related subject-specialists such as pharmacologists, pathologists,
environmental and occupational health scientists, etc. from academia, industry and
government/regulatory agencies in India. It provides the most comprehensive coverage of
basic as well as cutting-edge advancements in toxicology besides offering high quality
continuing education courses on state-of-art technologies and regulatory issues for human
resource development at nominal fee. It facilitates one-to-one interaction with the leading
scientists and mutually interested research groups for exchange of information and ideas that
lead to research collaborations and advancement of toxicological sciences. It also provides the
participants an opportunity to be recognized and honored/awarded for their outstanding
achievements in toxicology education and research.
This international conference is epitome of year-long silver jubilee celebration of
STOX, India. It includes plenary sessions, special lectures, Symposia, platform and poster
presentations. The conference also offers continuing education courses ranging from basic to

Abstracts submitted under specified symposia or related topics of the Conference, will be selected
for presentation as Poster or Oral communications. The scientific committee of the Conference is
authorized to suggest editorial modifications to improve the quality of presentation.
A participant can submit a maximum of two abstracts but only one as presenting author. The
abstracts will only be considered for presentation if accompanied with the registration fee.

Projection Facilities
We encourage using Microsoft PowerPoint for oral/platform presentations. In case of alternative
software, presenters are requested to use their own laptop and necessary software. Slide
projectors for 35 mm slides and equipment for overhead transparencies will also be available.
Time for Oral Presentation
Ten minutes will be allocated to each oral presentation followed by five minutes for discussion from
the floor. For the poster sessions, authors will be requested to be present during the assigned time
for presentations and discussions.

Lucknow is the capital of the State of Uttar Pradesh. The city is cultural, scientific, political and
educational hub of the country. Lucknow is associated with legendary hospitality, leisurely moods of life,
fabled edifices steeped in history, world-renowned cuisine and exquisite 'Sham-e-Avadh' (evening in
Lucknow). Tremors of time have not effaced Lucknow of its cultural heritage and traditions, which once
contributed in creating the city incomparable in its times

The temperature of the Lucknow during the period of the conference ranges between 10 C and 25 C.
