ClovaTherm
Hi-Heat Resistant Enamel
83225
DATA SHEET
A state-of-the-art silicone coating that can be subjected to temperatures up to 420 o C (790 o F) without the need for a heat
cure to develop maximum performance properties. This single component fast drying enamel dries to a rich, low sheen
finish with excellent heat resistance properties. ClovaTherm Hi Heat Resistant Enamel can be used as a self-priming,
direct-to-metal enamel or used in combination with 83220 ClovaTherm Zinc for superior corrosion performance.
This product is for use on steel surfaces where excellent heat resisting performance is required. ClovaTherm is an
excellent alternative to conventional high heat coatings that require a heat cure and are subject to mechanical damage
and weathering. See your Cloverdale Paint Technical Representative for recommendations for your project.
Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil or other contaminants. All mill scale or
weld spatter must be removed for maximum performance. The minimum surface preparation required is
SSPC-SP3 Power Tool Cleaning but an SSPC-SP6 Commercial Sandblast is recommended for improved
product performance. Surface profile should not exceed 1.25 mils as this is a thin film coating.
