Schem ..Hamphoresch or the
Divided Name
By the time an aspiring Golden Dawn member had reached the Grade of
Philosophus, which corresponds to the Sephirah of Netzach on the Kabbalistic
Tree of Life, he or she was permitted to study a manuscript called
the Schem-hamphoresch. 12 It cannot be denied that this is a difficult paper,

readings, which has it as YAHVAH,
