PREPARING FOR USE<br />

OPERATION<br />

Due to our policy of continuous improvement, the actual product may differ slightly from the one<br />

illustrated in this booklet.<br />

This unit operates on a main AC 220-240V~50-60Hz 1000W.<br />

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE<br />

• Hair should be clean and tangle free before using the product.<br />

• Plug the appliance into a suitable mains socket.<br />

• Ensure the voltage being used is the correct voltage for this product.<br />

• To attach the brush to the unit, position the triangle towards the front and<br />

push until the brush is in place.<br />

• Ensure the hot air brush is turned off and the attachment is cool before<br />

removing.<br />

• To remove, press and hold the brush lock/release button and pull the<br />

attachment directly off the handle.<br />

• Use the hot air brush as a normal hair brush, brushing or curling for a few<br />

seconds at a time.<br />

• To freeze the style in place, apply the cool setting before unrolling the brush<br />

from the hair.<br />

• Repeat throughout your hair.<br />

• To hold your style use <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>Stafford</strong> Hold Tight Hair Spray.<br />

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE<br />

1. The appliance must be unplugged before cleaning.<br />

2. Let the appliance cool down before cleaning.<br />

3. Clean the barrel with a soft cloth or sponge moistened with a mild soap<br />

and water.<br />

4. Dry thoroughly before use.<br />

5. Do not use any harsh detergents, abrasives, solvents or cleaners.<br />

6. Never immerse in water to clean.<br />

7. Special attention should be taken to remove hair and dust from the air intake.<br />

LEE’S TOP TIPS!<br />

• To achieve big root boosting volume then this hot air brush helps to achieve<br />

that look.<br />

• Towel dry your hair and make sure there are no knots or tangles within the<br />

hair to avoid any snagging.<br />

• The hot air brush can also be used on dry hair but is best on clean, damp hair.<br />

• Section the hair into manageable sections.<br />

• For added volume, use <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>Stafford</strong> Double Blow Volumizing Mousse.<br />

STORAGE<br />

• Ensure the product is completely dry, switched off and unplugged from the<br />

mains before storage.<br />

• Store in original box in a cool, dry place.<br />

• Store in a safe place, away from children.<br />

ALWAYS<br />

3 ALWAYS use the unit only for its intended use as described in this manual.<br />

Only use <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>Stafford</strong> attachments.<br />

3 ALWAYS take care to avoid contact between the hot surface of the barrel and<br />

bare skin, particularly at the face and neck.<br />

3 ALWAYS ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged from the mains and<br />

it has cooled down before storing.<br />

3 ALWAYS keep the unit out of the reach of children. This appliance can be<br />

used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack<br />

of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction<br />

concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards<br />

involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.<br />

A 13 amp BS1362 ASTA approved fuse must be fitted.<br />

Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the<br />

same as that indicated on the rating plate. Connecting it to any other power<br />

source may cause damage.<br />

This product may be fitted with a non-rewirable plug. If it is necessary to change<br />

the fuse in the plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover becomes lost<br />

or damaged, the plug must not be used until a suitable replacement is obtained.<br />

If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or due<br />

to damage, it should be cut off and a replacement fitted, following the wiring<br />

instructions shown. The old plug must be disposed of safely because inserting it<br />

into a socket could cause an electrical hazard.<br />

The wires in the power cable of this product are coloured in accordance with<br />

the following code:<br />

Blue = Neutral Brown = Live<br />

If the markings on the terminals of your plug do not correspond to the colours<br />

shown of the wires in the power cable, proceed as follows:<br />

The wire which is coloured Blue must be connected to The terminal which is<br />

marked N or coloured Black.<br />

The wire which is coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal which is<br />

marked L or coloured Red.<br />

DO NOT connect any wires to the earth terminal.<br />

This symbol indicates that this is a 2-core appliance is Class II and does not<br />

require an earth connection.<br />

SERVICING<br />

If you drop or damage your product it should not be used until it has been<br />

examined by an authorised Service Centre or appliance technician.<br />
