Kiln Brush Baffles
Uneven airflow leads to inconsistent product quality and
unpredictable drying time. It is seldom that standard style
metal baffles ever sit tight against the top of a load to
effectively restrict airflow.

Research studies have shown that significant airflow leakage
has been measured when metal baffles do not come in direct
contact with the top loads. As a result, uneven drying of loads
occurs. Unlike rigid metal baffles, brush baffles are flexible
and allow for a better seal of potential gaps between the
brush baffle and the load no gap no airflow.
As shown in the table below, an independent technical
services report proves that airflow leakage increases as the
gap between the metal baffle and the load increases. On the
other hand, brush baffles sits perfectly flush on top of the load
no gap no airflow.

gaps. As such, the
138* - 177 VAFM
was in all probability
the airflow between
the brush baffle
bristles.
*138 VAFM was the lowest the airflow leakage meter would
read before going to zero. The independent testing group
came to the conclusion that the airflow in the area of the
brush style baffle was zero.
