Engineer Kolceski reported on the status of easements needed in connection with the Jamesville
Sewer District. He stated that the town will reconstruct the dugouts at the Little League field.
Councilor Scruton presented a petition for stop signs in the Britton Knolls development. The
matter will be referred to the Police Department for a study and recommendation. Resident
Sylvia Matusek voiced her opposition, saying that there is insufficient traffic in the development
to warrant stop signs.
Tax Receiver Vasta addressed the Town board concerning the proposal to eliminate the Office of
Receiver of Taxes and Assessments. He disputed the validity of certain statements put forth in
the “white paper” presented on September 2, 2008. Additionally, he stated that he was being
discriminated against and that he was in a “hostile work environment”.
Motion by Councilor Scruton, seconded by Councilor Andrews.
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is herby authorized to sign the amended contract with the
Town of Manlius concerning services for dog control.

Motion by Councilor Simonetta, seconded by Councilor Andrews.
RESOLVED, that the DeWitt Fire Chief, Jeffrey Cardinali, is hereby authorized to issue citations
for illegal parking in designated fire lanes.

Highway Superintendent Maxwell reported that paving in connection with the Parkhill
Rehabilitation Project will be postponed until the spring of 2009.
Motion by Councilor Andrews, seconded by Councilor Mannion.
