4) Support the ongoing development of key visitor attractions in the region The Sunset Coast region already has a rich base of natural and built attractions. The natural assets are paramount and can be further enhanced through provision of improved visitor amenity, access and interpretation. In addition, with the planned opening of Indian Ocean Drive there is the capacity to renew and expand the offerings around this key drive route. With expected increases in traffic brought about by the development of the Indian Ocean Drive, an improvement in these boat launching facilities along with improvements to basic amenities such as carparks and toilets is seen as important.
