2013 Wildflower Holiday guide<br />
<strong>Tourism</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Australia</strong> invites all tourism accredited businesses to advertise<br />
in the 2013 Wildflower Holiday Guide. The wildflower season in <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Australia</strong><br />
offers an amazing opportunity for businesses to promote themselves to this highly<br />
enthusiastic audience.
There are more than 12,000 species of wildflowers in <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Australia</strong> and over 60% of these species<br />
are found nowhere else in the world. Each year, from June in the north until November in the south,<br />
they bring a spectacle of colour and scent that needs to be experienced to be believed.<br />
The 2013 Wildflower Holiday Guide will be launched in February 2013 by <strong>Tourism</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>.<br />

REGISTRATION DEADLINE<br />

TARGET MARKET<br />
• Wildflower Enthusiasts.<br />
• Nature Lovers.<br />
• People aged 45+ travelling as a couple or in a group on a selfdrive<br />
or group package.<br />
• The primary target audience for our Experience Extraordinary<br />
brand is Socially Aware and Aspirational Achievers (Roy Morgan<br />
segmentation) who are 35 – 64 years old with a household<br />
income of $100k+ travelling without children. A relatively upmarket<br />
audience, they are united by some common attitudes. They are<br />
naturally curious, value experiences, believe that you get back<br />
what you give and that a holiday is about more than just rest. The<br />
secondary target audience is Grey Explorers and intrastate families.<br />
DISTRIBUTION<br />
• 35,000 print run for 2013 distribution.<br />
• Distributed to all accredited visitor centres in <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>.<br />
• Distributed at domestic consumer shows including the caravan and<br />
camping shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.<br />
• Available to download from westernaustralia.com/wildflowers.<br />
WHO CAN ADVERTISE<br />
National <strong>Tourism</strong> Accredited Businesses<br />
Businesses will need to demonstrate valid tourism accreditation,<br />
with TAAL or TQUAL approved programs and include a current<br />
accredited tourism business registration number on the <strong>advertising</strong><br />
application form. Accreditation registration numbers can be found<br />
on your current accreditation certificate.<br />
ADVERTISING RATES<br />
• The <strong>advertising</strong> rate schedule can be found on the Application Form.<br />
• Rates vary depending on the size of the advert.<br />
ADVERTISING CONDITIONS<br />
• Advertisers must comply with <strong>Tourism</strong> WA’s accreditation policy.<br />
• Advertisers must honor existing retail commissions with travel<br />
agencies and visitor centres for any price or package offered<br />
within the 2013 Wildflower Holiday Guide.<br />
ARTWORK<br />
Advertisers will be required to supply their own professionally<br />
created, print ready advertisement. <strong>Tourism</strong> WA does not offer an<br />
advert creation or amendment service.<br />

Advert Position: Where possible, advertisements will be placed in<br />
contextually relevant positions.<br />

• Full page Trim 275mm (h) x 210mm (w)<br />
Allow 5mm for bleed<br />
• 1/3 page (landscape) 80mm (h) x 190mm (w)<br />
• 1/9 page 80mm (h) x 60mm (w)<br />
Artwork Format<br />
• High resolution PDF (300dpi minimum) acceptable.<br />
• Crop marks and 3mm bleed on all edges required.<br />
• Files must be CMYK and Apple Macintosh compatible.<br />

• Via compressed file email (preferred). Emailed files must<br />
