Adult <strong>Winter</strong> Basketball Leagues<br />
Active for Life<br />
We offer multiple different basketball leagues. Men’s leagues generally<br />
start in middle to late November and run through the end of March.<br />
The women’s league will start in December and end in the middle of<br />
March. Please see the different league options below. Sunday game times<br />
are in the late afternoon/early evening. Men’s and women’s leagues have<br />
10 game seasons with end of season tournaments. These are officiated<br />
leagues and standings are kept. Players must sign-up as a team. We do<br />
maintain a free agent list if you are interested in playing, but don’t have<br />
a team to play on. Team registration forms and league information can be<br />
found on our website – www.cityofstoughton.com/rec.<br />

These are a great alternative if your schedule is too busy to commit to<br />

Coed Volleyball Leagues<br />
Active for Life<br />
Our coed volleyball leagues are very popular with area residents. We<br />
have different leagues that will match your team’s skill level. Matches<br />
will be played on Friday evenings and start in November and run<br />
through March. Players must sign-up as a team. Contact the Recreation<br />
Department for a registration form.<br />
General Youth Programs<br />
Stoughton Recreation Ski Club Trips<br />
Go on a ski trip with the Recreation Department! We have multiple<br />
trips to Devil’s Head, Tyrol Basin, and Cascade Mountain. Trips take<br />
place on Friday nights in January and February. Trips are for middle and<br />
high school age children. Sign up the week of the trip at River Bluff or at<br />
the Recreation Department. Look for more information at the schools in<br />
late December as the trips start after winter break.<br />
Preschool Open Play Club<br />
Active Start<br />
This activity is an unstructured play time for preschool age children.<br />
There will be three major activities that children can participate in. They<br />
can crank up the wrecking ball and let it rip with a construction play<br />
set, play in a colorful kitchen with things like tea sets, and foster their<br />
creativity with arts and crafts. This is a great way to have your child<br />
interact with other children. Sign up for the month below!<br />

Devil’s Lake State Park & Ski Hi Apple Orchard Trip<br />
Enjoy the fall colors and the great outdoors on our trip to Devil’s<br />
Lake State Park and Ski Hi Apple Orchard on Thursday, October 23rd.<br />
Children will be led through an educational program featuring live<br />
animals by a DNR naturalist at Devil’s Lake State Park and a hike up<br />
the bluffs. Afterwards we will be stopping at Ski Hi Apple Orchard for<br />
a treat. Thursday, October 23rd is an early release day for the Stoughton<br />
Area School District. Please bring a sack lunch for the ride and dress<br />
appropriately for the weather. If the weather is bad, we will reschedule<br />
the trip for Friday, October 24th. Volunteer chaperones are needed!<br />

Milwaukee Bucks Trip<br />
Join us to watch the up and coming Milwaukee Bucks! We will be<br />
going on Saturday, November 29th as they will be playing the Houston<br />
Rockets. Please check our website for more details.<br />
Water Color and Oil Painting<br />
Introducing a three week course that uses watercolor and oil painting<br />
on the same piece. The results are luminous and intriguing. Join<br />
us and discover your hidden artistic creativity. This class is taught by<br />
retired Stoughton School District art teacher Nancy Hagen. Participants<br />
are required to purchase their own supplies. A supply list will be<br />
emailed out prior to the start of the class. Open to all levels.<br />
