Brake Pedal Switch<br />

The brake pedal switch is mounted on the frame under<br />

the floorboard (Fig. 15). The brake pedal switch prevents<br />

the cruise control coil from being energized when<br />

the brake pedal is pushed.<br />

Testing<br />

1. Make sure ignition switch is off. Locate switch and<br />

unplug wire harness connector from switch.<br />

2. When the switch plunger is pressed (brake pedal released),<br />

there should be continuity between the switch<br />

terminals. When the switch plunger is extended (brake<br />

pedal depressed), there should be no continuity between<br />

the switch terminals.<br />

3. Reconnect the harness connector to the switch after<br />

testing.<br />
