The Targus patented SafePORT ® Air Cushion System and patent-pending Dome
Protection System offer the highest protection possible for your notebook.
SafePORT ® Air Cushion System
The SafePORT ® Air Protection System combines vented air cushioning and
high-density foam padding in a single chamber. These specifically engineered
polyurethane cushions line the bottom and sides of the notebook compartment for
side and vertical impact protection. SafePORT ® cushions float the notebook inside
the chamber ensuring a snug fit while protecting against damage due to shifting.
We equipped our first case with the SafePORT ® Air Cushion System in 1997, and
since then continue to refine the system creating a truly protective environment for
your notebook.
Dome Protection System
The Targus Dome Protection System (DPS) stands as another forward-thinking
innovation in protection for Targus notebook cases. The DPS is a series of
layered, shock-absorbing circles inserted into the walls of the notebook case,
helping to minimize screen abrasions and cracks. Targus developed this system
as customers cited increased interest in a technology that would help to minimize
scratches and cracks to their notebook screens.
These two protection systems are offered in many of our case lines to ensure the
