CITY CLERK<br />

01.1255 LICENSES: The <strong>City</strong> Clerk's Office issues marriage licenses, dog licenses, and Department <strong>of</strong> Environmental Conservation licenses for<br />

fishing, hunting and trapping. The Office issues about 1,900 marriage licenses a year, at a cost <strong>of</strong> $40 per license. The <strong>City</strong> retains $7.75 <strong>of</strong> this fee<br />

for the marriage license and $10 for the marriage certificate. The remaining $22.50 goes to the State. The Office also issues about 3,000 dog<br />

licenses a year. Charges for dog licenses are $10.00 for a spayed or neutered animal; $20.00 otherwise. Effective January 1, 2011, $1.00 <strong>of</strong> the<br />

spayed and neutered fee and $3.00 <strong>of</strong> the unneutered fee is given to the Spayed and Neutered Foundation. The <strong>City</strong> also issues about 2,400<br />

Department <strong>of</strong> Environmental Conservation licenses per year. These licenses range from the comprehensive Sportsman license ($47 for <strong>City</strong><br />

residents for the season), to Hunting (small game-$26, small and small/ big game-$29), and Fishing ($29), as well as combinations <strong>of</strong> fishing with<br />

different classes <strong>of</strong> hunting licenses. There are also specialty licenses for bow hunters, hunters who use muzzle-loading guns, and trappers.<br />

01.1560 BUILDING INSPECTIONS CHARGES: Payments received from property owners when excessive inspections are required.<br />

01.1565 BOARD UP/CLEAN CHARGES: Payments received from homeowners for board up or clean up <strong>of</strong> property by <strong>City</strong> Workers.<br />

01.1589 RENTAL REGISTRY FEES: The <strong>City</strong><br />

will be inspecting all non-owner occupied 1 and<br />

2 family homes over a two year period. The<br />

owners will be charged a $150.00 fee for this<br />

service. Property owners have the opportunity<br />

to have this fee waived if all their properties are<br />

in compliance with the Department <strong>of</strong> Code<br />

occupancy with three or more units and for any<br />

mixed occupancy. The fee is $55.00 for any<br />
