BECAUSE IT COUNTS
Quality is a word that gets used a lot in kiting. At Ozone, we don’t use it lightly. When we use it, we mean it. We’re proud of our design and manufacturing and believe they set a
precedent for the rest of the industry.
At Ozone quality begins with design; we produce kites with the best quality handling and feel combined with the highest level of performance and safety.
Choosing materials: This is a simple issue, when we choose materials, we base our decision solely upon the fact that the materials we use are the best available for the job.
Kite production: All Ozone kites are manufactured in our own facility. We have total control over every aspect of the manufacturing process, and each kite is fully inflated and
inspected to certified paragliding standards before leaving our DHV-approved factory.
Product testing: Your kite has undergone thousands of hours of development, from CAD design through to riding in extreme conditions. Our riders and design team are out testing
all year round in temperatures of -40˚C in Norway to the baking heat and sand blasts of Chile.
SUPERIOR FABRICS DOUBLE STITCHED
Ozone kites are double-needle stitched, which is stronger and more durable than single line stitching in the event of the kite being dragged over rough ground. Even our thread
used for stitching the lines and sail is anti-UV coated, bonded thread further adding to the strength and life-span of our kites. Every seam is checked to within 0.5 mm; a look at
how well the colour - scheme on the outside matches, and the accuracy of the seams inside the kite will highlight this fact. Extensive research, testing and development between
Ozone and NCV Porcher Marine has led to the release of NCV Porcher A767. We also developed our own cloth which we have named Ozone40D. Both Nylon Rip-Stop fabrics
offer an unbeatable blend of UV resistance, stiffness and tear resistance.
MYLAR EDGED
Aerodynamics tell us that the leading and trailing edges are the two most critical lines in an aerofoil section. Ozone kites are Mylar taped for the leading edge cell openings, giving
a more rigid structure, a clean and efficient aerofoil and absolutely zero stretching. The Mylar tape effectively locks the sail shape, meaning your kite keeps its factory trim. Just
remember that only a 1mm error on a cell in a kite with 30 cells leads to an overall error of 3cm, this can make a marked difference to a kites handling, performance and safety! It’s
why we started our own factory.

LINES
Flying Lines
Ozone line sets are made from the highest quality SK 75 Dyneema. Woven with a tight, square braid and treated with a special heating process, this line is highly resistant to
abrasion, water absorption and stretching. Lines are cut, pre- stretched, sleeved and stitched to ensure 100% accuracy. The lines are final load tested to 60% of their breaking
strain to “lock” the line and as a final production check. New for 2007 we have improved the stiffness of the flying lines making the lines easier to un-wind.
Bridle Lines
Our aim when designing the bridle lines is to use the least amount of line possible, to minimize parasitic drag through the air, resulting in a more performant kite. Kite design has
advanced to the point where the manufacturing accuracy and diameter of the line is vitally important. To achieve this accuracy, we use the highest quality Edelrid Dyneema which
is stitch finished for extra strength and less drag. Every Ozone kites bridle is checked to within 5mm accuracy before it leaves our factory to ensure your kite flies perfectly. The
‘kook-proof’ colour-coded and labelled line connection system makes set-up safer and completely stress-free for riders new to kiting.

ATTACHMENT TABS PULLEYS
Our attachment tabs are sewn deep into the reinforcement area of the ribs, which means that the load is spread over a larger area of material, thus reducing any stretching and
ageing of the cloth.
PULLEYS
For our kites and bar systems that require pulleys we use Ronstan pulleys with a high grade stainless steel body and stainless steel ball bearings to ensure an infinite working life
and smooth power transfer. The pulleys form an integral part of the safety system on the kite, which is why we’ve chosen a pulley with a breaking load of 550kg for the de-power
speed system!

We recommend you learn to kite with a qualified kite instructor >> Always seek expert advice if in
doubt of the conditions, read the product instructions and abide by the safety warnings.
Learn to fly your kite in light winds (Under 12kph) until you are competent with flying your kite and
can operate the safety systems without having to think.
Always use safety equipment; helmet, knee/elbow pads, gloves and buoyancy aids if kiting on water.
Never underestimate the power a kite produces or how quickly the weather conditions can change,
start out with a small kite and only attempt advanced power-kiting moves such as dragging,
jumping, buggying, land boarding, kitesurfing or snowkiting when you have the experience and
competence to do so safely.

What does depower mean?
Depower is when a kite can change its angle of attack and therefore the amount of power the rider wants can be controlled with ease>> just like having gears in your car.
What does fixed bridal mean?
Fixed bridle is what we term a kite that has fixed bridle line set.
The kite does not have depower, you choose the size of kite needed for your level/weight and conditions you will ride in.

The IMP >> 2-Line Fun
This is Ozone’s two line power kite and is the perfect kite to have stashed in
the car or in the beach bag at all times. It can be flown by all ages depending
on the wind strength and size you choose. The strap handles make it very
easy to control and also safe to release if you need to. Top quality materials,
tough design and massive wind range means durability and unlimited fun.

The IMP Trainer >> 3-Line Bar System
This version of the IMP comes with a bar control system. It’s the ideal choice of kite for people
wanting to learn the basics of kite handling with the idea of progressing to kitesurfing, snowkiting or
mountain boarding.
By simply letting go of the bar the kite will fall to the ground, pull the re-launch line and the IMP
trainer will fly again. The 3rd line runs from the safety leash at the bar up to the trailing edge of the
IMP Trainer’s wing, when the bar is released the Trainer stalls cleanly and safely to the ground. The

The Cult: All-round Excellence
The Cult has been designed to offer high performance, high stability yet with ease of use in mind. It is
a total redesign of the much loved Ozone Samurai that it replaces and now incorporates the design
features learnt from the Yakuza. It is the ultimate all-around buggy and mountain board kite.
The total bridle line length on the kite has been reduced by 30% compared to the Samurai by the
use of Diagonal Rib construction in the kite structure which leads to a major reduction in drag and
weight. The higher aspect ratio design and more cells added gives the kite a far higher performance
profile and wind window. If you are into buggying this is the kite to own for all riding styles from
committed beginner to pro.

The Haka: Freestyle Power
With its name inspired from the New Zealand War Dance, the Haka is Ozone’s high performance fixed
bridle kite designed for huge jumps and full on freestyle action on your buggy or mountain board.
With the high aspect ratio and extremely thin cross section the Haka turns and moves through the
air at warp speed allowing for huge power delivery when you need it. The number of cells on the
kite plays a major part in its performance and the Haka has a massive 28 cells on the 7m and 9m
versions. With design also inspiration taken from the legendary race winning Yakuza, the Haka is for
the experienced kite flyer looking to reap the maximum from the sport and take their level of riding

The Access2: Explorers Choice
The Access 2 is designed for snow, buggy and MTB riders who want an entry into the world of depower
kiting. The Access 2 is a super stable open cell kite with progressive handling characteristics
perfect for exploring all kite sports. The Access 2 has lots of grunty traction power due to its lower
aspect ratio and with the addition of two extra cells from the Access 1 it has more power per size
and a faster turning speed.
The kite packs down small and comes with a back pack so it is perfect for taking into the
backcountry. Use the kite to quickly access back country routes, pull yourself to the top of the
mountain, pack the kite up and descend, enjoying the free ride sensation with the kite in a back

The Manta: Chasta’s Choice
The Manta was designed for the legendary three times World Champion Guillaume Chastagnol
(Chasta) and riders like him with the experience to fly a high performance kite. If, like Chasta, you
are looking for massive amounts of useable power, stability and manoeuvrability then the Manta is
the one. The high aspect ratio and thin cross section means that the Manta penetrates the wind with
speed, creates power and insane lift.
The Mantas plan form also makes it turn very quickly, giving you the power when and where you
need it. Initially released with a focus on snowkiting the Manta has been adopted by buggy and
MTB riders as the kite of choice for high freestyle action with added benefit of de power. This kite is
pushing the limits of all kite sports, opening up areas previously thought un-kite-able.

Ozone Handles
The standard Ozone handles that come with all our kites are designed with comfort in mind. The 25mm diameter neoprene
covered handles ensure you don’t end your kite sessions with blisters. The leaders and 60 cm harness strop are made from
Amsteel spectra with ground staking loops for easy control of your kite when taking a break. The main leader line also has an
anti-chafe neoprene cover to protect your index pinkie! All our control gear comes with Ozone’s unique line label connection
system to make setting up easy.

Ozone Pro-Composite Handles
For the kiter that demands the best equipment you will love the new Ozone carbon sheathed handles. The design features a
constant curve; we feel this constant curve makes for a more intuitive connection to your kite as you work the handles when
hooked in using the strop. The Ozone Pro-handles feature a 3D EVA grip and are 25mm in diameter to reduce arm fatigue. The
leaders and 60cm harness strop are made from Amsteel spectra with ground staking loops for easy control of your kite when
taking a break. The brake leader line comes directly out of the end of the handle thanks to the moulded end caps meaning you
never get a line cross-over. The handles are a vital part of your equipment; make sure you are riding with the best

Ozone Kite Killers
Kite Killers (safety leash) allow you to kite with peace of mind knowing that if you have to release the handles in an emergency
the kite will stall, and stay connected to you. Ozone’s kite killers are made to Ozone’s usual bomb proof quality construction
with the highest quality webbing and foam padding for a comfy fit. We use elasticized nylon webbing instead of just bungee
line so our kite killers will not fail you when you need them most. Ozone Kite killers work with all 4-line handles and the writs
cuff is designed to fit over snowkite clothing and gloves.
Ozone De-Power Bar
Ozone’s unique carbon bar is designed with simplicity in mind. The central hole design is oval so that even when you have
the bar turned fully to either side there is zero friction/resistance on the chicken loop line allowing you to still push or pull the
bar with ease for optimum control. Ozone’s legendary leash-less re-ride safety system means you can concentrate on riding
knowing you have a quick release emergency kill switch that works every time. The Ozone bar leaders are set at neutral and
will work on any depower foil from other brands so upgrade for your own safety to the Ozone bar. Please note that the 07 bar
works with old Frenzy models.

Ozone Pro-Lines
Ozone line sets are made from the highest quality SK 75 Dyneema. Woven with a tight, square braid and treated with a special
heating process, this line is highly resistant to abrasion, water absorption and stretching. Stretch resistance increases the
performance and direct handling of the kite’s power and is a crucial consideration when choosing your lines. To “lock” the line
all our line sets are sleeved, stitched and then uniquely re-stretched to 60% of the breaking strain at our own factory. Because
our lines are fully stretched before you get them, you won’t need to adjust or re-stretch them after your first outing. 2-Line sets
and 4 - Line sets are available and are supplied on winders

IMP Bar with Safety leash
Perfect to use with any two-line kitesurfing or landboard training kite. The bar comes with a safety leash which, when
necessary allows the kiter to simply let go of the bar, the kite stays attached to the wrist but completely powerless.
Also available for 2007 is the new IMP trainer bar sold complete with 3 lines and safety leash which will allow you to use with
any small 4 line kite. Ask your local dealer for info
Ozone Fixed Bridle Carbon Bar
The Ozone carbon bar works on any 4-line fixed bridle kite making the switch from 4-line handles to our bar very easy. The
brake lines attach to the central trim strap making reverse launching the kite easy. New for 2007 is the mono swivel harness
loop with safety release that follows 2005 CEN safety standards. The mono attachment makes for even easier turning of the
bar and the internal stainless steel swivel allows you to easily un-twist your lines after a rotation.
Sizes: 50 or 60cm bars with a 50cm
Beachfleece
The Beachfleece is the ultimate must have travelling accessory; it will become your favourite possession, allowing you to stretch out
on any surface in luxurious comfort.
Lightweight and warm the beach fleece will keep you snug and toasty on the beach, at a park, on a plane or in a car. When the sun
isn’t out or if the wind is a chilly, wrap yourself up in it or use it as a blanket. It measures a huge 170cm by 120cm but folds up into a
handy pouch with shoulder strap only 30cm by 45cm and can be used as a comfortable pillow.

Windstopper Vests
Latest addition to Ozone’s collection of clothing and accessories is their technical windstopper body warmer. Designed to be
close fitting and highly functional, the wind-stopper vest is made from a soft shell outer with fleece lining.
The vest has two spacious inside pockets and two zipped pockets on the outside.
Finished to Ozone’s usual high standard you can now look super cool and stay warm all at the same time.

T-shirts, long sleeves
Show your allegiance to Ozone by wearing one of the new range of t shirts or long sleeves. Available from small to extra large
and in red, white or green the Ozone brand t shirts have a large OZ logo on the back, Ozone printed on the front and on the
sleeve too. Made from 100% cotton they are stylish and comfortable.
The Ozone “Kite the world” design has a picture of the world and all the Ozone flying spots on it with a small picture of the
world on the back and sleeve too. This is available in green.
Washbag or Toolkit
Multifunctional and compact, the Ozone wash bag was originally designed with the travelling kiter in mind there are plenty
of pockets with zip closure compartments to keep all your different toiletries organised. A few of the Ozone team have found
them indispensable as tool bags too, the zip compartments keep all the spare nuts and screws for buggies and board fins

V24 – The backpack with Internal laptop protection
The Ozone daypack with 24 liters of volume is supplied with a separate internal padded laptop case. The laptop case has
a strong Velcro fastening on the inside of the bag to prevent movement and two large cable pockets. This bag is a perfect
working backpack, keep your equipment with you in the comfort of one spacious back pack. Carries all the gear you need and
fits in the overhead lockers and won’t hurt your shoulders thanks to the super comfy padded straps
PG Rucksack 130Liter & PG Rucksack light (Geo) 65Liter
If you own a lot of kites or are always annoyed with the hassle involved with so much gear then either of these robust
rucksacks are the answer. The 130 litre Rucksack can hold 4 Instincts, harness, wetsuit and pump or between 7 and 10
foil kites. It has two big pockets on the side and top to keep your keys, phone or accessories separate from your kites. The
compression straps on the front of the bag will hold a Kiteboard, Snowboard or MTB with ease.
