b. Cleaning (Cont)<br />

WARNING<br />

Wash facepiece using water below 120°F (48.89°C). Exposure of lens to temperatures<br />

above 120°F (48.89°C) may cause lens to crack and leak.<br />

CAUTION<br />

Wash the mask carefully so that the canister and microphone do not get wet.<br />

(2) Using a cheesecloth (3) (item 4, app D) which has been dipped in a utility pail (4)<br />

(item 6, app D) of warm soapy water (5) (item 8, app D) and wrung out almost dry,<br />

wipe facepiece (2) and hood (6) inside and out. You can also use a soft brush (item 2,<br />

app D) to remove stains.<br />

(3) Wipe facepiece (2) and hood (6) with a clean cheesecloth (3) (item 4, app D) that has<br />

been dipped in warm potable water and wrung out almost dry.<br />

(4) Wipe facepiece (2) and hood (6) dry with lint-free cheesecloth or allow to air dry.<br />
