2-19. INSTALLING ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZED ITEMS TO YOUR MASK<br />
(CONT).<br />
(4) Fasten insulating jacket (8) to facepiece (3) by performing the following:<br />
(a) Center insulating jacket (8) over front of air duct hose (7) and over chin portion of<br />
facepiece (3).<br />
(b) Place upper edge of insulating jacket (8) under lower edge of lens rubber<br />
frame (5).<br />
(c) Draw tie cords (12) up around lens rubber frame (5) and tie in a bow knot. Tuck<br />
ends of tie cords (12) in back of lens rubber frame (5).<br />
(5) Fasten insulating jacket (8) around air duct hose and outlet valve assembly by pressing<br />
together fastening cloth (13) at sides of jacket and then pressing tab (14) down<br />
firmly over cable (15).<br />
NOTE<br />
As the temperature rises, open the lower end of the insulating jacket as needed to<br />
prevent the incoming air from being warmed too much.<br />
