2-17. STOWING MASK AND ADDITIONALLY AUTHORIZED ITEMS
IN CARRIER.
a. Locations for Mask and AAL Items Inside Carrier.
(1) The antifogging kit is stowed in
the small pocket (1) in back of
the carrier.
(2) The M258A1 individual decontaminating
kit, and M8
agent detector paper is
stowed in the small
pocket (2) on the side
of the carrier away from
your body.
(3) The winterization kit is stowed
in the large pocket (3) on the
side of the carrier next to you.
(4) The canister is stowed in the
bottom of the carrier where
there are two short straps (4)
which fasten around the hose
to hold me canister in place.
(5) The facepiece with folded hood
and hose attached is stowed in
the center area (5) of the carrier
(para 2-16).
