2-12. MARKING YOUR MASK FOR IDENTIFICATION.
NOTE
Although a mask will be used only by the individual to whom it is issued and fitted,
do not make permanent identification markings on either the facepiece or carrier
(AR 700-84).
a. Under supervision of your unit NBC NCO, attach a removable tape or tag marked with
your name or a code number to your mask carrier.
b. The code number, if required, may include date the facepiece was fitted and tested. Code
number must not Identify parent organization or be similiar to a neighboring unit.
