SWSi Student Associations<br />
Student Associations are voluntary, non-political, not-forprofit<br />
service organisations, dedicated to making campus<br />
life better for all students and staff by providing quality<br />
student facilities, services and activities.<br />
Working closely with <strong>Institute</strong> management <strong>the</strong> Student<br />
Associations provide a broad range of services, facilities,<br />
products, publications and activities that support learning<br />
and teaching. They are responsive to <strong>the</strong> needs of <strong>the</strong><br />
students and help to create an environment where <strong>the</strong>re is a<br />
healthy balance between study and leisure.<br />
Student Associations provide a channel for communications<br />
between students and SWSi. A Board of Management is<br />
elected from <strong>the</strong> membership of <strong>the</strong> Student Associations<br />
to recommend <strong>the</strong> expenditure of student funds in an<br />
appropriate and equitable manner. The Board provides an<br />
invaluable mechanism for student consultation and gives<br />
members <strong>the</strong> opportunity to enhance practical skills and<br />
make a tangible contribution to <strong>the</strong> college community.<br />
