TAFE NSW State Medal Winner
Kathy Kim
Diploma of Disability
Granville College
“I was very surprised to receive the state medal;
it was unexpected. My career goal is to work with
children with disabilities in early intervention of
speech therapy or physiotherapy. My TAFE teachers
were very supportive, encouraging, motivational
and inspirational. Now I am doing a Bachelor of
health sciences at the University of Sydney to get
into speech pathology or physiotherapy.”
Jawid Karimi
Diploma of Tourism
Bankstown College
“The feeling you get when your name is called
to the stage to come and receive your state
medal is amazing. I feel recognised. I must
say that without the help of the teachers at
Bankstown College I wouldn’t have received
the state medal so I dedicate this to them.”
