In general the mean annual temperature has risen by around 3.5° C between 1983 and 2005.
This has to be considered as a tremendous increase. It has to be calculated that the
evapotranspiration has risen as well. Slightly increasing temperatures of winter and summer
months lead to this effect. At the moment an evapotranspiration of only around 56 mm based
on the values of the whole drainage basin of Buyant Gol can be calculated. The first reason
for this relativly small amount is the large area of the high mountain region of the drainage
basin and secondly the fact that one has to calculate an uncertain amount of melted glacier
water in the Buyant Gol (see Fig. 16-20).
