Application procedure<br />

Prospective students should complete the Engineering and<br />

Industrial Sciences application form for either full-time or<br />

full-time and part-time study by contacting the School<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice (TC219) (9214 8916).<br />

Information sessions covering all aspects <strong>of</strong> the course will<br />

be conducted twice a year prior to enrolment days.<br />

Entrance requirements<br />

Open to all, but particularly suited to:<br />

- people who seek the opportunities to apply Quality<br />

Initiatives in their own areas <strong>of</strong> responsibility<br />

- members <strong>of</strong> autonomous work groups<br />

- recent graduates in management roles<br />

- staff seeking best practice skills<br />

- managers with technical skills background<br />

Ability to use, create, adapt and transfer data, relation,<br />

pattern, number measurement and shape.<br />

Ability to manage activities requiring selection, application,<br />

analvsis and svnthesis <strong>of</strong> a number <strong>of</strong> elements, and<br />

critically appraise the quality <strong>of</strong> processes and outcomes.<br />

Course Structure<br />

All modules are fast tracked. 3 modes <strong>of</strong> study are<br />

currently available.<br />

(i) some modules will be <strong>of</strong>fered as a 1 day seminar with<br />

package to be completed in industry.<br />

(ii) some modules will be run over 4 sessions (6 hours every<br />

second week) = total <strong>of</strong> 8 weeks duration. A package will<br />

be <strong>of</strong>fered which will need to be completed in industry.<br />

(iii) in-house training.<br />

A Diploma <strong>of</strong> Quality Management is currently being QMAl2 Practicum Project 50<br />

developed. Participants who gain the Certificate IV in NQ007 Monitoring Variation 40<br />

Quality Management & Assurance will be eligible to move * fiose who succes~ully applyfir Recognition <strong>of</strong>prior<br />

on to the Diploma. There is a cross-credit arrangement in Learning (RPL) for all 3 <strong>of</strong> these modules will take the<br />

place which will enable career paths to be developed<br />
