Content<br />

This subject will provide training in all financial<br />

components <strong>of</strong> international trade transactions on short,<br />

medium or long payment terms. This subject examines<br />

these payment methods and their financing and includes<br />

methods <strong>of</strong> protection against foreign exchange<br />

movements, non-payment, product loss, damage or liability<br />

plus counter-trade and contract guarantees (bid<br />

performance bonds).<br />

TQ002 Customs Practice<br />

Prospective international traders will be provided<br />

with training in the nature, purpose and usage <strong>of</strong><br />

Australian and international customs practice, procedures<br />

to various and differing types <strong>of</strong> transport systems that<br />

Documentation Production<br />

A subject in the Associate Diploma <strong>of</strong> Business:<br />

International Trade.<br />

Content<br />

The student will be provided with the training to<br />

recognise the data needed for international trade, the<br />

parties who require it, the purpose for which it is used,<br />

plus the sources and methods for its production. It also<br />

seeks to introduce students to the increasingly important<br />

role <strong>of</strong> Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).<br />
