This subject introduces students to the concept <strong>of</strong> quality<br />

in various aspects <strong>of</strong> their employment. Total Quality<br />

Control (TQC), excellence in personal presentation and<br />

communications skills are covered. Students are also<br />

introduced to the elements <strong>of</strong> project management and<br />

time management.<br />

This subject provides the students with advanced digital<br />

design skills. Design simulation using PC s<strong>of</strong>tware packages<br />

and practical skills in PLD design are emphasised. An<br />

introduction to ASIC design and philosophy is included.<br />
