NCS004 Work Team Communication<br />
Hawthorn Prerequisite: Nil<br />
A subject in the Certificate I in Electrical (Pre-<br />
Apprenticeship), the Diploma in Fire <strong>Technology</strong>,<br />
Certificate IV in Fire <strong>Technology</strong>, the Diploma in Applied<br />
Science (Materials Engineering), Certificate IV in Materials<br />
Science and the Certificate IV in Information <strong>Technology</strong>:<br />

Content<br />
This module will prepare the student to participate in a<br />
small group discussion to reach agreement on a workplace<br />
related issue. Co-operate with team members to plan and<br />
prepare a simple presentation. Present a job related report<br />
to a group.<br />
NCS005 Dealing with Conflict<br />

A subject in the Certificate IV in Forensic Studies and the<br />
Advanced Certificate in Management.<br />
Content<br />
Identification <strong>of</strong> possible workplace conflict. Strategies for<br />
constructive conflict resolution.<br />
NCS006 Writing Workplace Documents<br />
Hawthorn Prerequisite: Nil<br />
A subject in the Diploma in Fire <strong>Technology</strong> and the<br />
Certificate IV in Fire <strong>Technology</strong>, the Diploma in Applied<br />
Science (Materials Engineering), the Certificate IV in<br />
Materials Science, the Certificate IV in Renewable Energy<br />
<strong>Technology</strong> and the Advanced Certificate in Management.<br />
Content<br />
Provides competency based training in communication<br />
skills to write routine and non routing workplace<br />
documents. The participants may be responsible for<br />
others. On completion <strong>of</strong> this module the participant will<br />
be able to plan and write complex workplace documents.<br />
NCS009 Negotiating Skills<br />
